LinkedIn will not allow you to see profiles of people you are not connected to. This poses a problem when trying to show prospective customers your LinkedIn page. Thankfully, your LinkedIn public profile allows people to see an abridged version of your profile without having to connect with you.
To obtain your LinkedIn public profile link, follow the steps below:
1.) Login to the LinkedIn account you want to link to.
2.) Once you have logged in, click the “Me” tab underneath your profile picture at the top of the screen. This will cause a drop-down menu to appear. Click the blue “View profile” button beneath your name and job title.
3.) Once you are on your profile page, click the “Edit public profile & URL” link in the upper right corner.
4.) The URL in the upper right corner is the link to your public profile. You can copy this link to your website, email signature, or anywhere else that your customers visit.
5.) If you would like to control what elements of your LinkedIn page are visible on your public profile, you can select from a number of options on this same page. Toggling the switch to blue means that the element will be publicly visible, while toggling it to gray means that only people who have connected with you can see that information.
